We did a 5K!

My bestie and I decided to enter the Great Idaho Potato Marathon! We both had been trying to be good at working out and eating right. So this was a great motivater! It was something we looked forward to and it was something fun to do without kids!

We chose to walk the 5K. There were various other races. Full and half marathons, 10K and 5K. It started at 8:30am Saturday morning and it only took us an hour to complete.

The weather was great and we had a blast. We both look forward to many more races together! Maybe we will run the next one!!

This is us waiting for the shuttle to take us to the start. It is probably 7:15 in the morning! Don't we just look happy to be there!!

This is the begining of the race. There were people every where! We were all coralled to the starting line, and then told to follow the white arrows and not to get lost!

I think this was about mile 2? Maybe. It was only 3.1 miles and it went by really fast! I'm glad that I have such a great friend to do things like this with!! Thanks Janelle!



 

Brynley was Hungry!

Well earlier today while I was making dinner Brynley

was playing with the pots and pans. She started yelling and making chomping noises and laughing! I turned around to see

this................

She was trying to eat my Paula Dean pans!! She started off by licking them. So I went and grabbed the camera, and she started to try and bite them!

This look says, "leave me alone I'm busy here!!"

And finally she went in for the kill!

Don't worry I fed her a real dinner, well tried at least. All three kids have puked this week and haven't eaten real well. I hope that me and Travis don't get sick!

In other updates, the kids have 4 days of school left! Then we leave for Oregon for a week. Also Travis got a new job. He is now Adult Felony Probation and Parole. He will work closer to home and be home more during the day, since he makes his own schedule!





Well spring soccer has come to an end! And just today Zachary said that he couldn't wait until the fall so he could play again! He will be on the same team with the same coach wich he really liked! He ended the season with a pizza party and he received a metal. He has only taken it off to sleep and even then it wasn't to far away!

So here he is scoring a goal. Something he was really good at!!

Cinco de Mayo!

We try every year to have a Cinco de Mayo party! This year we got lucky and it landed on a Saturday! We had about 12 adults and 9 kids! It was a loy of fun! We made carne asada, refried beans (the real kind!) and rice. And out guests bround chips and dip as well as drinks!

A Few Weeks Late...... Oh Well

This was our view from the cabin!

A few weeks ago our friends invited us and another family up to their families cabin. I forgot to take any picture of the cabin, and I use that term loosley! It was more of a fully furnished house!

The majority of our time was spent on this! The Rhino! And Kirk was kind enough to take everyone on rides, up and down the mountain!

While the babies were sleeping (there were 3 of them!) the older kids needed to be entertained! So Emily got out the play dough!!

Also while the babies slept, they watched movies, and went on more rides. I think it was Madison's turn on the Rhino!

Did I mentioned the Rhino rides?!?!?! Just look at their happy faces!!

There was some healthy ping pong competition between Travis and Kirk! I think we all played but these two were pushing the little kids out of the way!!

When the kids went to bed we stayed up way too late and played lots of games! We had great food and great company! Thanks Tate and Emily for invitinf us and thank you Kirk for back breaking ride on the Rhino! HAHA!
