New Hiding place!!

Afternoon date day!

On Saturday the kids went to play with friends and Travis and I went on a lunch date along with a little shopping! I have wanted new pots and pans for quite some time. Christmas came and went and no new pots and pans. So Travis was saving and surprised me with a trip to Target and new pot and pans!! I have had my eye on these porcelain non-stick Paula Dean set in red!! And that is exactly what I got! What a loving husband!


Also that evening we had a Stake (church) Valentine's Day Dinner and Dance. I was the host of our table. Which meant that I decorated it and cooked the main course which was a pork roast. Everyone else at the table provided the sides. Then after the dinner there was a dance. And if any of you know anything about us, we are not dancers! But it was fun to watch everyone else! Here are the people we had at our table.

Like I had mentioned above we are not dancers and many of our friends are not either! So when a slow song comes we all go out and retreat when a fast song comes on! So when I saw some of our friends dancing I did a covert op and snuck a few pictures!!

An Early Valentine's Surprise!

Today the mailman brought the kids two Valentine's day packages!! And of course had to open them right away! Zachary was super excited for his new harmonica! Thanks Mom and Donn!! Thanks a lot! They also received a package of treat from Grandma and Grandpa McDowell! Thanks for more sugar!!!

Madison was also very excited to get a package. She loudly proclaimed, "I am so excited I can hardly wait! We haven't gotten a package in a long time!" She also got a ton of goodies and a new pony! She has had a bad case of winter allergies and really didn't want to make a video hence my prompting!

Total flash back!

In the mail toady was a box from my grandma Vickie. Since I have been doing a lot of work with family history she has been sending me some pictures. This is the 2nd batch I have received. This time instead of photos of people I really don't know, this batch was of me and my brothers growing up in the 80's! Ha! I need to put these all on CD next time I have an hour to kill at Wal-Mart! So enjoy yester- year!

This was my 5th birthday and my now 3 stepsisters were there, Theresa, Kim and Cory! Our parent were married about 8 years after this party! Weird!
