Could this have possibly happened again???

Well Brynley is 2 weeks old. And more cute than ever!

However, every time I have a child I pray that the worst does not happen. With Madison I had IT every week for a month (4 times), with Zachary I had IT at least 3 time over 3 months, and IT has reared it's ugly head again! Have you guessed it yet............?

MASTITIS!

Yep that's right, it has hit me again.
I started feeling yucky late Saturday night, but I felt better in the morning so I decided to go to Church. At the end of Church it felt like I got hit by a mac truck. I had a fever, chills, body aches, and a sever headache! That night I felt like I was on by death bed. So Travis called Tom B. and they gave me a blessing. It helped and I slept better that night. I was only ever awake long enough to feed Brynley then back to sleep I went.

I'm feeling better today (Tuesday), no more headaches and the antibiotic I have been put on is pretty hardcore. I do have to go back in a week to make sure it's gone.

Oh the price we pay to have children. Travis told me this morning that we should be done with kids because he doesn't like to see me go through so much pain to have a kid! He, by the way has been wonderful these past 2 weeks! I now trust him with laundry and dinner, which is big for me!

This little one is quite different than Madison and Zachary. She had blond eyelashes and very light eyebrows. When she is awake, and actually opens her eyes, they are NOT brown, weird I know! They are more of a hazel. We noticed it yesterday when we were out. I never thought I would have a kid with anything but dark brown eyes!

What else would you expect from an older sister who is obsessed with horses?? Need I say more!!

This weekend has been pretty fun. My dad and step-mom came for a quick trip. And my dad has not let go of Brynley since he walked in the door! It's been nice to have 2 extra sets of hands! I have had time to rest and bond with the new little miss!

I have just about recovered, I had really bad back labor so every now and then I need to take some advil. We get pretty good sleep. She goes down between midnight and 1am and sleeps until 4am then eats and sleeps until about 7:30a or 8am! It's awesome!

Zachary is still in love!

Madison has finally come around and now asks to hold her.

Every once in a while we can catch her with her eyes open! They are sort of gray. Madison and Zach were born brown and stayed brown. So this is new, she also has light eye lashes and light eyebrows!

This is by far my favorite picture! She looks really good in dark colors!

More Brynley!

Well I had a great night sleep! Brynley decided that she likes to eat! So she packed two feedings in at 10:30p and midnight. Then slept until 4:30am. Woke up but didn't want to eat she was cold and "needed" to sleep with us!! The she slept again until 7:30am! WOW! Let's hope this is every night! HA!

So many have asked about the room we were in. Well our hospital has done a lot of renovations lately and the maternity floor as well as recovery rooms got a make over! There are two of these kind of rooms right now and they are first come first serve! So about 2 minutes after Brynley was born I asked of one was available!
It's a "family recovery" room. It's a king bed, framed pictures on the wall, soft lighting, table and chairs, glider, kid table with block and an LG flat screen on the wall. It was sooooooo much better that sitting in those crappy folding beds!

This is my favorite! she just finished eating (during the game!) and rolled over! She looked so comfortable! The ducky slippers were Madison's but since she was born in the summer Madison never wore them!

Travis and Brynley taking a nap while I took a shower! He claims that they are not very fun at this age, however this is all he has done with her! In fact right now, Zachary is very jealous that daddy is not sharing!!! Last night he said that it was weird that she was here and that it felt like she was "on loan!" Too cute!

Now I need to rest and get showered for the day!

Well this will be the last post for a few days! I am down to about 6 hours before I head to the hospital! I can't even begin to thank all the people who are helping out with the kids, and who have already brought us freezer meals. Since all of our family lives so far away we rely a lot on our Ward (Church) family. You are all awesome and we are so grateful for all the service that you do!

I am trying to remember what it was like to have Madison and Zachary. And I can remember bits and pieces but not all. I think we are made to forget the bad stuff and really only remember the good! I can't wait to hold Brynley! We have waited so long for here to finally come. It feels like I have been pregnant forever!!

I should be home Wednesday afternoon and hopefully post a few pictures then. Everyone and anyone is more than welcome to come and visit. Tuesday will be the day for that! Just stop on by, no need to call. But you can if you want!

The Wait is Almost Over!

Well I had my last and final prenatal appointment today!! And even though I am not dilated and Brynley is being stubborn, I will be induced 12:01am Monday morning! I check in at 11:30pm Sunday night!

So to all you Duck fans, that is the National Championship game day! Let's hope and pray that she will come before the game! I informed my OB that our room will be decorated with green and yellow, and we will all be wearing some form of those colors! He just laughed!
