Our little Graduate!

Today was kindergarten graduation. If any of you know Madison she could have graduated before she even started kindergarten! We are so proud of her and the year she has had! We were blessed with great teachers and a great school. Here were the events of the morning.

Waiting for the program to start!

Madison got to participate in one of the 11 songs!

It's official! They recieved actual diplomas in a plastic cover!!

Madison and Mrs. Lohse. She was such a great teacher and perfect fit for Madison.

This is Mrs. Beardsley who is the full time aid in Madison's class, also a great lady!

Here is a short video of Madison recieveing her diploma from Mrs. Lohse!!

"Help me, I'm stuck"

Well I have been posting a lot of pictures of Madison lately and felt guilty that Zachary has been left out of the blog.

So today was a very nice and warm day, about 75+. Zachary asked if he could go and run in the sprinklers, I told him it was okay and he went out side. About 10 minutes later I hear him crying and yelling "help me I'm stuck!" Total meltdown, tears, screaming, frozen in place and says if he moves it will break his legs! To my total surprise, he is "stuck" in the middle of the back yard in the middle of the sprinkler cycle!!! I was laughing so hard! At the same time he is crying the sprinkler is coming back and forth and spraying water in his face! He didn't want to run to me so I told him he had to wait for the sprinklers to stop! He was out there for about 5-7 mins screaming and crying with me trying not to laugh too hard!

They finally stopped and he ran to me laughing! He changed, got warm and had a snack and was totally fine!!!

This is my favorite one!!

Here is another one of Zachary pretending to be Ryleigh. We came home from Winco and I took Ryleigh our of her seat and I turn around and Zach has climbed right in! I can't believe he rode in this same seat 4 years ago! This kid is huge! At his last check up he was 43 lbs, and 42 in tall!! He will be 4 in July! I sure love me little buddy! Hope you all enjoyed a day of Zach!

My little graduate!

Well Madison officially has 2 weeks of school left! I cannot believe I have an almost first grader! At the end of April they had cap and gown pictures taken at school. Well we got them back today (they are the kind that they send them home but you don't have to buy them), and they are not worth $40! So I snapped a picture for the memory! I am going to take her next week to have portraits done by herself! Anyway here is our little scholar!

Mother's Day!

As I was blog surfing this week I was reading blog after blog about Mother's day and it didn't hit me until today that I never posted anything! Silly me! So here is my Mother's day post.

Nothing too exciting happened that weekend. Madison's last soccer game, and Ryleigh's 1st birthday. But Saturday night I got my present early. Travis gave me money to go and buy new summer clothes. I already had 2 $10 off of anything $10 at JC Penny. So my good friend Angela and I made our late night Penny's run! They are open until 10pm so we don't even leave until 8pm! I found some capris and 2 shirts I got them all for $15 original price was $60 ish! I love finding good deals. Also, every year I request a DQ Ice Cream cake!
Travis took the kids with him, and this is what is left the day before Mother's day!! Travis said it was this or "Happy Birthday!" I really didn't care, it all tastes the same! Madison and Zachary also made me some cards. I got to take a Sunday nap and I didn't have to cook dinner! It was pretty nice! Happy belated Mother's day to all the mother's in my life!!

Very Random

I was looking through some older picture files and came across these of Madison. These were around or on her first birthday!

Great Grandpa made this by hand. I think this is where her love of horses comes from!

Travis and I have always been big advocates of reading. And this is just one of the many times Madison has brought us a book to read!! She is an exceptional reader now!

The End of a Season

Well, today marked the end of Madison's one and only soccer season! They all received a small trophy and a team picture. It has been an interesting season to say the least. Madison is usually "too tired" and "too cold" to play. I admit it has been pretty cold these last few weeks. Anyway, these last few weeks she is in tears when we have to get her up to go to her game.

I asked her last week if she wanted us to sign her up again. She clearly stated, "NO, I would like to do a no running sport!" Well I had to laugh because that is totally Madison and she was speaking from her heart. We missed t-ball sign ups, and there is a big break between soccer and swimming lessons. So I found a summer ballet class, I just might sign he up. Seeing that it is a non running sport she might actually enjoy it!!

So here are today's game pictures!

Opening game kick off!

Encouraging words for the girls!

Waiting for a penalty kick!

End of season team picture!

Madison.............are her playing days over??

To be continued......................

It's Teacher Appreciation Week!

This week is teacher appreciation week! Madison wrote a letter to her teacher Mrs. Lohse. If you can't see in the picture it says " Dear Mrs. Loshe, Thank you for being a good teacher. Love Madison 2010" The picture she drew is of her and Mrs. Lohse. I put together a scrap picture frame and her school picture. We also made one for Mrs. Beardsly who is the aid in the class. These two ladies have made such an impact on Madison. I remember my Kindergarten teacher Mrs. Hobsen, and I have never forgot the impact she had on my life. So if your kid is in school make an extra effort to tell their teacher/s thank you.
Can your remember all your Elementary Teachers K-5th?

Curly Sue

Madison has been asking to put rollers in her hair for the last week. She does pretty good at getting them in, and after I put like 10 in she asks if I am done. Well I didn't count this time but usually we get in about 40. We put them in Sunday night so she would have curls Monday for school. I forgot to take an after picture sorry. But as you can see, she was pretty excited to have them in!!
