A Really Happy Wednesday!!

The doorbell rang at 1:30p. To my surprise it was the mailman with 3 boxes along with our mail! One box was from my mom aka Nana with school shoes for the kids. The other box was Church stuff. And the 3rd box was the best of all! It was our annual box of Duck stuff from our good friends Josh and Emily Alder. Josh knows how hard it is to find Oregon stuff out here in Donkey Country (aka BSU land). So each season he sends us some pretty cool stuff.


This year was the new spirit shirts and a onesie for Brynn! Along with some cups, a poster and lanyards!

This is the new spirit shirt for 2011-2012 season. The cool thing about these shirts is that it's fan based. Anyone can submit a design then it is voted on. The shirts are only $7, and $1 of it goes to the Marching Band and $1 goes to the Cheerleaders! This one has to be my favorite!! Me and Zach got the black ones, Madison and Travis got the green ones!!

Happy Wednesday!

Happy Wednesday to all! So this is the 3rd week that I have had Ryleigh (2) and Bailey (4 months). And each day /week I feel a little braver, in my abilities to care for 2 extra cuties!

Yesterday we (Ryleigh and me) were bored, so we painted toes and did some laundry while the babies took a nap. After nap we had some fun with the baby stroller!

Bailey is pretty small and the dolly stroller look to be just her size!!

Today I thought I would brave a trip to the store!!! The babies had just eaten so no one threw a fit. All in all it went pretty well. I got stopped a few time so some random women could admire these gaggle of girls. One man asked if Brynn and Bailey were twins? What? Anyway, now that I know it's a possibility, maybe next week we will try Wal-Mart!!!!

First Day of School!!!!

Well today marks the beginning of having 2 kids in school! It kind of seems weird. Madison was excited to start 2nd grade. And already loves her teacher Mrs. Mount. I think this year Madison will thrive. I think school really starts in 2nd grade. She told me last night that she is ready for a challenge!!

Zachary likes his teacher Mrs. Rimbey. We met her last night and he got to see his class. He was excited that there was fun stuff to play with, and asked if he could come back and play. He was up bright and early this morning. He came in our room and told me, "Mom, I'm up it's time for school. Now get up and take me there!!" What a nut!

Travis took this picture. And I asked if he wanted one with the kids he said "No." And I asked why he said, "Because you're the Mom!"

Zachary has a hard time with pictures. He anticipates the flash and gives me silly smiles!!

So we left for school, and the whole way there Madison kept telling Zachary all the fun things you get to do and all the fun they have on the playground. She took him under her little wing and off they went!

Here they are at the front of the school. Madison was given a dress from one of her friends, and just had to wear it this morning! Don't worry I put bike shorts on underneath!

We went to Madison's class first to drop her stuff off and for a quick picture with Mrs. Mount.

And they're off! Out to the play ground. They were holding hands which was too cute. I am glad that Madison will be there for Zachary. I didn't cry. I don't think I cried when Madison went either. In fact she told me not to cry when I took her to her first day of kindergarten. She told me it would have been embarrassing!!!

So here is to a great school year at Wilson Elementary!

North Dakota is a scary place!

So I have been meaning to post about this for a while now. When we took our trip to Montana, we also made 2 trips out to North Dakota. On our second trip, we stopped in Medora, North Dakota to eat a picnic dinner before heading home to Glendive, Montana. The weather turned on us while we were eating. It got really windy, and let's just say that taco salad didn't stay on the plates!!!

We got a call from Travis's sister and said that we should leave right then, because a tornado warning had gone out and it was headed our way! We loaded up quickly and headed out. About 20 minutes into our hour drive home the clouds started to change.

This is what we were driving towards. It was windy but no rain yet.

It got worse as we got closer. Travis had seen tornado clouds while on his mission in Missouri. And he could tell that it was coming. He said that the sky turns green and the clouds look like an egg carton.

NO JOKE green sky!!! It came quick, and we could see the clouds rotating. Scary!! The whole time the kids were watch Sleeping Beauty and had no clue. The speed was 75, and Travis admitted to driving 90 just to get us home in time.

This was one of the worse parts. The rain was soooo bad that we were being drifted to the side of the road, and driving 40 mph. It was a pretty tense drive home. I think this was one of the high lights of out trip!!!

Great Grandparents!

My kids are truly blessed to be able to know their great grand parents. I grew up knowing only a few of my great grandmas and grandpas. While we were home this summer we spent a lot of time with my grand parents.

This is my mom's mom Grandma Vickie and her husband Grandpa Rod. Grandpa Rod collects Hot Wheels. And while we were there he let Zachary and Devek(cousin) pick one from his collection. We had a fun time visiting with them, and other family members while we were there.

This is my dad's parents. Grandma MaryAnn and Grandpa Chris. It was fun to spend the day with them as well. Grandma wanted to make us dinner, which when she offers to make you enchiladas you don't turn down the offer! It was awesome! It's fun to go back to their house, and see that nothing has really changed since I was Madison's age! Grandpa even taught the kids how to catch tadpoles in the pond!

I am so grateful for my grand parents, and that my kids now get to know them and have those same special memories.

PS- Grandma Z and Grandpa Jerry...... we haven't see you in a while and hope to do so soon!!! We love you and miss you! Oh and Brynley sleeps with the quilt you made her!!!

A little bit of everything!

This summer has been pretty fun. With a trips to Oregon, Montana, and camping we were very busy. On August 10th Brynley turned 7 months! WHAT!! I can't believe that she is that old. She is full of personality. She loves Madison and Zachary. She still isn't sitting up or rolling over, we think she is just content and has no where to go!

She just keeps getting cuter!

Another adventure we went on this summer was getting Madison's ears pierced!!!! My mom took her while we were in Oregon.

This was ear #2. Total meltdown. Until it was over and she looked in the mirror! Then she was all smiles!

The lady was really nice and gave Madison a certificate for being brave!

My newest adventure....... Bailey and Ryleigh!! The came this week and so far so good. I think it will get better when Madison and Zach go to school! Ryleigh is 2 and potty trained, Brynley is 7 months and Bailey is 4 months!! People call me crazy, but I love them and it's fun!! I don't know how I will feel when both babies are crawling, but for right now it's fun!

Dinosaurs in Montana???

While on our trip to Glendive, Montana. We took the kids to a dinosaur museum. There are 4 different dinosaur museums in Glendive. Who would have thought?!?! So we asked Grandma which one would be fun for the kids as well as cheap for the whole family to go! She suggested this one, which was right down the street in the middle of town. It cost $3 each to get in, it was priced fair and the kids had fun!

(Makoshika is the name of the State Park in Glendive, and is where they have found dino remains)



There was a video that we watched about dinosaurs. It was a little strange, but again the kids enjoyed it! ( This must have been an interesting part of the video!)

This was one of the displays that you saw when you walked in! They were impressed!
