Just Because

This week has been pretty uneventful. Besides Brynley's one year check-up, it's been a pretty run of the mill week.

At Brynley's check-up this week, she weighed 20 lb 11 oz and was 30 inches long. She gained only one pound in 3 months! She is 50% for both height and weight. She doesn't like milk, it gives her a bad tummy ache. The Doctor said to try a lactose free milk and see if that works.

We had an empty diaper box and Travis put Brynn in it for fun!

Can't resist taking a picture of the stinky face!!

This is just funny. I found Brynn the same shirt as Ryleigh @ Kohl's. So when Ryleigh came yesterday I put Brynn in a matching outfit. I took this picture mostly to show how close the girls are in size. Ry will be 3 in May and Brynn just turn one! There is only one size between them. Brynn is an average 1 year old. Ryleigh is just small!!

Brynley: A Year in Review

It all started January 10th, 2011. We welcomed our 3rd child Brynley Grace McDowell 8lb 4 oz (my biggest so far!) She was born on the day that our beloved Ducks played in the National Championship game against Auburn. The day started off good when Brynley was born then ended bad because we lost. But the best by far was seeing Brynn for the first time! The nurses put a yellow ribbon in her hair so she was ready for the game!

We were so happy to add her to our family!

Zachary was probably the most excited! He was sad that he couldn't stay in the hospital with us!

Travis found someone to take a nap with everyday at 10am.

The nurses said that she was the cutest baby there! And I have to say, that we do have pretty babies!!

******

Welcome Home!
My dad and step mom came the day after we got home. It was so nice to have them here to help and keep Madison and Zachary entertained!

And a very excited big sister!

Well it's been a very fun year! We enjoy having Brynn in our family. Thank you to all of our friends and family who have helped us this year!
It went by so fast! Madison and Zachary said that she needs to learn to walk now! She stands and cruise along the couch or cabinets in the kitchen.
She loves to give kisses.
She points and everything, has two best friends- Kaylee and Camie. She is a fast
crawler and gets in to everything! We sure love little miss Brynley aka stinky, Brynn, Brynny Boo, Brynners, Bebe gun, and many more
loving and endearing names!!

Happy Birthday Brynley!

We celebrated Brynley's first birthday 3 days early. We invited two other little girls who are close in age and get along well together! We let the girls play for a while since this was the first time they had all been together. Me, Janelle, and Heidi were all pregnant together last year at the same time. So it was fun to let the girls play!

Here is the birthday girl tiara and all!

Brynley and Camie.

I had to add a stinky face in! She makes this face when she gets excited!

All 3 babies!! This is the closest we got to all three looking at the camera!
(Michele and Kristen, remember we took a picture of the boys at about the same age?!)

The music table was a party favorite!

Camie, 14 months

Kaylee, 1 year!

**********
After they played for a while we decided it was time for cake! The best part! I called Albertson's and ordered her FREE first birthday cake! It was decorated in pink, purple and yellow flowers, and said Happy 1st Birthday Brynley! Brynn dove right in!

She was slow at first, and was more concerned that her hands were dirty!

She tried to "share" a few time! So nice!

Camie and Kaylee also enjoyed their cupcakes!

Yes that is a glob of frosting on the underside of her leg! How did it get there I do not know!!!

*********
After everyone got cleaned up we let Brynn open a few presents!

We got her a ball sorter. Her and Kaylee are checking it out!

This is one of my favorites! Brynn and Kaylee playing with toys and Camie opening up another one!!

This soon became the favorite!

Here she is with all her loot! She got a camera and a phone from Kaylee and super cute outfit and a book from Camie! Thanks guys for coming and making Brynn's day so special!

Christmas Day cont.

After we came home from Church we ate a quick lunch and dove into the pile under the tree! We got a lot of really cool useful stuff this year! The kids said that this was the best Christmas ever! I have to agree that it was a pretty fun one.

Santa Gifts.

Brynn got this cute musical story book from Grandma/pa McDowell.

Me and Brynn right before she went down for her nap. With her new soft baby from Nana and Papa and fluffy blanket from Great Grandma/pa Naranjo. Brynn made it about 1/2 way through and gave up and needed a nap!

Me and Travis sporting our new sweatshirts from Nana and Papa! He got a NCIS cast and crew sweatshirt and I got an Oregon one!

Zachary with his loot!

Madison with her loot.
Brynn didn't get a loot picture because she was sleeping!

I am sure that are pictures missing, from that morning when I find them I will post them. The Rose Bowl just started so now I am done blogging!!!

Happy New Year!!

Christmas Eve and Day 2011

This year was pretty fun with Brynley around! She didn't really open presents, and at times the ripping of the paper scared her!

Our Christmas Eve tradition for the past few years is to go to McDonald's with our friends, the Ratnayake's. So we had an early dinner at 4:30p, we felt like old people!!! Then we came home and Travis's sister and her family came over for "The night Before Christmas" gift exchange! And of course Christmas jammies!

All the cousin's oldest to youngest! Madison 7 1/2, Zachary 5 1/2, Ryleigh 2 1/2, Brynley 11 1/2 months, and little Bailey 8 months old!!

***Christmas Day***

Since Christmas fell on a Sunday this year and we had Church at 11am, we let the kids get up at 7:30a and open stockings and their Santa gift.

Coming around the corner to see what they got!

Travis brought Brynley and he was smiling because I framed some large UO pictures for him!

Brynley loves her music table that Santa brought her. She wiggles and dances when she plays with it!

Right before we left for Church. Since I am in the choir we sang twice and I got to play my flute for Away in a Manger, along with the piano and the organ. It was a really nice meeting. It was fun to have it on Christmas, to help us remember what it is really about!!
