Park

Yesterday the weather was great, and the kids were begging me to take them to the park. The park happens to be on the other side of our back fence! So we bundled up and went! This was Ryleigh's first time at the park. She liked the swing but hated the slide!

The kids were so excited that the were able to go to the park! They just love to be out especially when the weather cooperates!

Friends

Madison loves to play with her friend Sage! They have been outside a good part of the afternoon, jumping and making up new games to play!

And my favorite of all!

Baseball

Anytime Zachary is outside he begs and pleads that someone, anyone play baseball with him. It was unusually warm today so I went out to take some pictures of the kids and Madison's friend Sage. Zachary picked up his ball and bat and came running! I tried to pitch and take pictures at the same time. This is what I got!

Date Day.

So this past week, Madison mentioned that one of her friends goes on Daddy Daughter dates with her daddy. Well she then asked Travis how come we don't go on Daddy Daughter dates?? So since Travis didn't have to work today (MKL Jr.) he took Madison on their first date! She took a shower and got all dressed up for the occasion. She of course chose McDonalds. I sent him with the camera and asked him to document the events of the afternoon.

As soon as they left Zachary came to me and asked me if we could go on a Zachy mommy date! It was so cute I couldn't resist! So he waited patiently until they got back. He chose Artic Circle. They have an indoor play place which was nice because it was really cold and windy out. Right before we left they gave us a free kiddy icrecream cone. Zachary kept asking if it was okay to eat the handle I guess he meant cone. And every once in a while (between licks) he would say, "this is delicious!"

Both kids were very thankful for their dates. I think this will be a once a month event, pending on behavior of course!

Playdough 1st!

So the day after Thanksgiving at Target, they had 24 containers of play dough (the real stuff) for $6.99. We I have generally shied away from the stuff due to mess and clean up. But I thought "my kids are old enough to play with play dough and not eat it, what the heck!" I needed an activity that would keep Zachary, and two 5 year olds (2 of Madison's friends that I watched today.) busy this morning. There was little to no clean up and they got very creative.

When Madison came home from school she made a horse merry go round!

Best Friends!

Travis's best friend Randy Bell was in town over Christmas break this year. He is in the Navy and is on a Nuclear Submarine most of the time. So when he comes to town the we stop everything to spend time with him.

Travis and Randy have been friends for just about 18 years! They grew up together is Hermiston, Oregon. They went on their missions at the same time and lived together in college at UO until we got married!

Randy surprised Travis with this military ammo box decked out in true Oregon fashion. When we get our Christmas put away (hopefully tonight!) It will get a place on the shelf in the front room! Thanks Randy! We miss you and stay safe!

Jesus Wants me for a Sunbeam!

Yesterday was Zachary's first day as a Sunbeam! He no longer wanted to attend nursery and he wasn't quite sure if he wanted to go to Primary either. I was subbing another class that morning so for singing time he sat with me then he saw his buddy Alec and decided to be a big boy and sit with his class. There are 3 boys and 1 girl! Sister Hilton will do a great job, and I hope Zachary has a positive experience as a Sunbeam!
