Well first off I have to apologize to all my family! Sorry for not updating more often. I will try to be better at posting at least once a week!
With that being said, this post is about Madison and everything we love about her!!
She is currently in 2nd grade. She is at the top of her class in every subject! A quote from her teacher in a recent email- "Madison is an exceptional student! I love having her in my class and she has made me a better teacher."
Madison loves school and has lot's of friends. She is constantly striving to do better and be the best she can be.
She will be 8 later this year, which has brought on an early onset of attitude! I have talked to my friends who have girls the same age and they have said the same thing! This year will also be big, because she will be baptized later this summer! She couldn't be more excited!
At the end of January she had her 2nd and 3rd grade music concert. It was held at the high school in the auditorium. They program was about keeping the Earth clean and recycling!
In this picture she is 2 to the left of the big girl (yes that is a 2nd grader!) dead center. She is standing by her bff Kate!
Here she is after the program. She said that she was a little embarrassed because she had to dance!! Shannon and the girls came and supported her ( there's Ryleigh!) It was a pretty fun evening!
Have you ever heard the quote "it's like pulling teeth!"? Well everything that Madison does is that quote, including trying to convince her to pull a tooth! So far she has only lost 4 teeth. She has a really small mouth and will have to have braces, in the coming years.
On Saturday I noticed her big tooth was hanging lower and lower. So after much tears and hiding in her room, Travis held her down and I pulled!
The first thing she said when she looked in the mirror was, "I look like a nerd!" For lunch that day she had ramin noodles and slurped the noodles through her hole!
We sure love Madison! She is a delight to have in our family! She definitely has the oldest sister mentality and attitude! She still LOVES horses and is quickly growing up before our eyes! Even though she can be a handful sometimes (did I mention the attitude!) we still love her and are grateful for her!!
