Madison is obsessed with the nativity. Starting at the beginning of December she takes any chance she can get to dress up like Mary! She even has Zach dress up like Joseph, both with blankets tied to their heads. Last night I went to check on her and she had a blanket draped over hear head like Mary, NO JOKE!
So the other day Zachary made a car ramp out of a box. Well Madison saw it and only thought one thing, Nativity!! Here eyes practically lit up! So her and Zach dug in their closets and found things that they could in their version of the Nativity.
Here is what they came up with......
Let me give you a little tour of the Nativity: Mary and Joseph are played by Dorothy and the Tin Man. The shepherds are The Mad Hatter, Flynn Ryder (from Rapunzel), and a green army guy poised and ready for battle! The Littlest Pet Shop pony is the donkey, and a dalmatian dog is a cow. Inside the basket is baby Jesus played by, Prince Eric (from Little Mermaid).
They were very proud of their work!

Way cute! We got our kids the large Fisher Price nativity this year so they would get more into it, but really all I can get them to go is pick up all the animals and make the wrong sounds& play baby Jesus' music over and over. Maybe when they get older they will be as excited about it as your kiddos are.
That's awesome and way creative! I love who they cast for the various rolls :)
That is funny! They do love their nativity.
She was telling me about all the nativity's she has at home. Describing all of the characters in each... She said she has really really wanted the little people nativity (I think that was the one?) to two years now and asked for it and a barbie something last year and got the barbies. It was first on her list. So this year she is going to be sure and put the nativity first on her list!!
It was so funny, I could tell she was really into it :) So funny!
Hilarious! The nativity . . . that's better than being obsessed with Santa Claus. Way to go, teaching your daughter the true meaning of Christmas!!!
It's great to see that you are teaching them the true meaning of Christmas. Way to go!!
