All is Well!

Four weeks ago we had our first ultrasound and found out we are have a girl (Brynley). During the ultrasound they found that Miss. Brynley had a few cysts on the brain. Our Doctor informed us that these are usually associated with Down Syndrome.
He also told us that 90% of the time they resolve and everything
is normal. So he wanted me back in four weeks (today) for another look see. They
also needed a picture of her nose/upper lip to look for cleft palette. The kidney's and diaphragm. The tech found every thing and it's all there! And NO cysts! They resolved on their own.

***

I wasn't worried when he initially told us about the cysts. I knew that we would be blessed with a healthy baby come January.
Since that appointment 4 weeks ago, both Madison and Zachary have been adding to their prayers "For Brynley to grow healthy and strong." They love her so much and haven't even met her yet!

***
Everyday Madison comes up to my belly and says "Miss. Brynley, what are you doing in there?" Then she walks away laughing and embarrassed!! Too Funny!
Oh and one more update, I have finally gained weight!!!
I'm 24 weeks and 3days. Trek did me in, I actually lost weight. But today I have gained that weight back plus 4 lbs!

Spirit Week!

This week is homecoming week at the high school. So Madison's school participates in spirit week! Yesterday was crazy sock day, which we were not informed of so no pictures of that. Today was crazy hair day and she went all out! Tomorrow is mismatched shoe day, Thursday is hair accessory day, and Friday is Blue and Gold day. There is also a parade that will come by the school and then have a route downtown. So here is the crazy hair that we came up with this morning!

I think she had about 9 pony tails, with all types of ribbon! She said she felt like a palm tree!
I can't wait to hear how her day went!

My Little Helper!

Zachary loves to help me sweep and swiffer the floors! He will ask daily if he can swiffer. Today I was changing over the table cloth and looked at the floor under the table! Holy cow how could I have missed that mess! Most of it was under Zach's chair so I felt that he should swiffer!! I swept then he got out the swiffer and went to work! I am able to shorten the pole so it is just right for him.
***
Here are a few pictures of him at work! He was busy for a good 20 minutes!

***
If you every need your floors swiffered just call on Zach!

(the pictures are a little dark but I think you get the idea!)

Here he is in action!

The smile on his face tells it all!

The Bump!

Well, I decided to take a picture of Brynley's bump today. I have never willingly taken a picture of myself while pregnant. And I have certainly never posted it in a public place like facebook or a blog.

***

Today however, I felt pregnant! My side muscles are killing me, I no longer sleep well, and a nap is now mandatory due to the fact that I don't get much sleep! Technically I have 19.5 weeks to go. However, Madison and Zachary were both a good 7 and 10 days early! The doc says, 2 weeks early for this one. So really I have 17 weeks to go!! So here is the bump! Mostly for family who hasn't see me in a while, and for friends who live too far away!
Enjoy!

Drumroll Please.........................

Well the long wait is finally over. We had our 20 week ultrasound this morning. We kept Madison home this morning and took her to school late. She was very excited to be able to go back to school and tell everyone that she will be having a baby.............

Sister!
That's right friends and family, we are having
another girl! I knew it all along! I was told by a friend that I do have special privileges in knowing the gender! I knew it was a girl a few weeks ago when I kept having dreams about baby girls! Travis didn't believe me because he says that my dreams are weird!

***
I am really excited! I now have the task of pulling out all of Madison's clothes to wash and sort. We are going to put the changing table in Madison's room and eventually the crib.

***
These pictures weren't very good. Due to the fact that she wouldn't cooperate. She was head down, and butt up! I have to go back in 4 weeks for another ultrasound, because they couldn't see the kidneys, diaphragm, and cleft pallet. She was barely about to get a profile picture. There were also a few other concerns. So hopefully I will have better pictures in 4 weeks!

These picture are always a little creepy but cool!

She has 2 feet and 20 toes! That's a good thing!

This is the proof that we are expecting a girl!! As soon as she brought the picture up, I said girl! And the tech was surprised that I could pick it out so quickly!

***
Now for a name. We have decided on Brynley. It's the only one we both agreed on. We haven't decided on a middle name yet, but will will let you all know as soon as we agree on that! The key word is agree!!

(sorry about the font, it won't change?)

Tomorrow!!

Well the long wait is almost over! I never thought we would get to this day! Tomorrow morning at 9am I have my 20 week ultrasound! Which most of you know is the gender one! Although my doctor assures me that, that's not all they check for! I assured him that 95% of parents really only care about the gender.

****
Most of our friends ask why do you even what to know? We already have one of each! Well I need to know for "nesting" purposes! I need to wash and sort boy or girl clothes and plan on what we still need! Madison and Zachary were both summer babies, a winter baby is all new for us!

****
I am hoping for a girl (name to be reveled tomorrow), due to the fact that they have cuter clothes, and hair accessories! Travis is convinced that it is a boy (name also to be reveled tomorrow), stating that we don't need another Madison! HA! If I win he owes me a foot massage, he hasn't decided what he will get. Maybe a day of uninterrupted College Football on Saturday!

So will it be a........................

I HAVE A 1st GRADER!!!

Today August 23, 2010 marks the day that Madison Paige McDowell began 1st grade!!!! She was so excited this morning! She got up at 7:30am when her alarm went off, ate all her breakfast. and didn't even fight to do her hair!! Her backpack has been packed since Saturday, and her clothes had been picked out for a week or two. Since this year is what they call a "Unified Dress Code" Madison has the choice of dark jeans, navy blue or black pant/long shorts/skirt/dress, on the bottom and a solid polo on top. With the color restriction of red and blue because they are "gang" colors! Good thing she has the option of pink. We are accessorizing with hair bows, and shoes since the uniform is pretty boring.

Zachary was a little bummed when we took Madison into her classroom. He didn't even want to take a picture with her. They gave each other a hug it was so cute. I don't think that he realizes that she won't get home until 4pm! I will have to find some fun things for us to do.

Before we got in the car!

This is the full uniform look. Don't ask me why she is posing like that!

Outside the school. Here she is again posing, this time with her lunch!!

I don't remember having a locker until 6th grade!

She has a seat at the front of the class! She was so excited to have a real desk and notebooks! She only knows 2 maybe 3 kids in her class from last year. I'm sure she will come home and know everyone! We are so proud of our Madison. She is so smart and on top of it. I know that she will excel in 1st grade. We love you Madison, have a great first day of school!!
