Little Nibbler!

We gave Brynley her first corn on the cob!

SHE LOVED IT!

She was a little miffed that I was taking pictures of her while she was eating. She paused to look at me, then resumed and finished the cob!!

Oregon part 3? I think?

While we were in Oregon at my Dad's, We spent one day in Ashland, Or. We spent the morning at a Science Discovery center. There were all kinds of things for the kids and us to do.

Loaded up and ready to go!

Zachary was trying to shoot baskets while looking through a type of binoculars.

Madison did "How long can you hang!"

There was a cool bubble room and the kids pulled a bubble up around them.

You can actually see Zachary's bubble.

Brynn even had fun.

We Have a Train for a Daughter!

Brynley is a pretty funny kid. She had turned into a pretty outgoing and crazy toddler! She found Zachary's harmonica the other day and this is what she does with it every time she get's a hold of it!

For the Love of Horses!

We all know that Madison has had a long obsession with horses. It has been an on going theme around here for the better part of 4 years! She has horses on her walls, sheets, clothes and just about anything you can put a horse on she has!!

So when we went to my dad's new place Madison was thrilled that they had two horses. Lucky and Queenie! She spent every free minute out in the barn with them. She would go out to say good morning and again to say good night! We called her the horse whisperer!

Here is Madison waiting for my dad to get Lucky ready to ride! I think the smile says it all!

Ready to ride!

And she's off! She had soo much fun!

She's pro!

Brynley even joined in on the fun! She was giggling the whole time. It didn't take her very long to say, "horsey."

Thanks Dad and Grammy Karen for the fun week we had! Can't wait to see you in July!

Fun with Cousins!

When we were at my parents house we got to spend time with my younger brothers kids. Devick is a year older than Madison and Brooklynn is 6 1/2 months younger than Brynley. Madison and Zach look forward to spending time with Devick. Since we only get to see them about once a year, they soak up every minute they can. This was also the first time we have been able to see Brooklynn.

They made smores one night!

Papa took the boys camping......in the back yard!

We tried several times to get these two to sit still for a picture together. I finally managed to get one without Brooklynn moving!! They are 6 1/2 months apart and Brooklynn is bigger than Brynley! Everyone says that Brynn looks like me and Brooklynn looks like my brother, so the girls look like weird sister/cousins!!

All five together after we had lunch at Tap Rock.

Annual Oregon Trip 2012

This year out trip to Oregon was a week long. Travis wasn't able to come because of his new job. So the kids and I loaded up the van and headed out. It took us 10 hours to make the trip. That included 3 stops along the way. Our first stop was my mom's place in Grants Pass, Or.

Zachary was finally tall enough to go for a ride with Papa! He was really excited! Last year he wouldn't go near it!

Since it was Memorial Day weekend we couldn't pass up lunch at Tap Rock the take in the sight and sounds of Boatnick! My younger brother is a kitchen manager there and his fiance is a server! Madison is plugging her ears because there were sprint boats down on the river!

We took the kids over to the park so they could ride some carnival rides! My mom and step-dad bought the kids an arm band so they were able to go on all the rides as much as they wanted!

Here they are getting ready to ride the "roller coaster!"

Later that night after dinner Papa fired up the the pit and the kids made smores! That is my nephew Devick in the middle!

The cousins in order of age; Devick, Madison, Zach, Brynley and Brooklynn! Brynn is 6 1/2 months older than Brooklynn and they are the same size!! Brooklynn actually weighs about 4 lbs more!!

Thanks Nana and Papa for the fun time we had with you!!

I'm a slacker! I know!

Well so far this summer has been pretty exciting. Zachary graduated from Kindergarten in May and he is now a first grader! He teacher was awesome and he loved her. He had a hard time saying good bye. Travis was able to be there with us and that just made Zachary's day.

Here he is with his teacher Mrs. Rimbey (on left) and Mrs. Kimp (on right, she was the in class aide for the beginning of the year!) He chose to wear his bow tie! He looked pretty sharp!

Every year the kids learn this song called "Squirrel, squirrel shake your bushy tail!" And here is his class shakin' what their mama's gave them!! He was kind of embarrassed!!

Here he is so excited that dad could come in his new uniform!
We are so proud of our Zachary! He finished top of his class. He was given 1st grade homework the 2nd half of the year and he is now reading chapter books!! I'm glad that he loves school as much as Madison! I think she is a great motivator!
