Matching clothes!

Well I have done it. I made me and Madison matching skirts! I never thought I would do that. I remember when my mom and I would match when I was little, I just never thought I would do it too! Sometime we match and we don't mean to. But this time we meant to. Sorry that there is only a picture of the skirts. We both wore white sandals, white shirts and matching necklaces! She thought it was pretty cool!

It was the same fabric just different colors! Next time we wear them I will post a picture of us!

Little Buddies!

While Madison is at school, Zachary loves to play with Ryleigh (niece), she loves her buddy Zach! She really only reacts to Zachary. She likes Madison but will follow Zach anywhere he goes. Today we put Ryleigh in the dump truck. Madison used to push Zach in it when he was little, and now Zachary is pushing Ryleigh.
Once we took her out she wanted to play with the dump truck and Zachary took it away! "Hey I was playing with that!"
Zachary wanted me to take a picture of his finger. Why? I don't know? But he sure is a cute kid!

Sunny Day

Today was awesome! The sun was out and it was warm! Warm enough to wear shorts, and in Madison's case, a dress. I took the kids downtown today. And just about the only thing worth doing is walking the Indian Creek. There are great walking paths, wooden bridges and sculptures.

We can't wait for summer!

New Uniform!

So Madison's school (the only one in the district) has decided to put in effect a mandatory dress code for the up coming school year. They can wear a hand full of plain polo shirts (good thing that pink is one of the colors!) and dark pants! Navy blue, black or denim. No red or navy blue shirts because those are gang colors! Yes my friends this apparently is a concern for ELEMENTARY KIDS!! We better stop teaching Madison gang signs, darn!

So for Christmas Papi and Grandma Karen got Madison some clothes, the pants just happen to be blue uniform pants from Old Navy!! So I found polo's at Wal- Mart for $4!!! So we did a test run this week, and man she is cute! It was early so please forgive the sleepy eyes! My mom had gotten her these really cute Converse high tops with yellow and blue flowers! She was probably the cutest and smartest kid at school that day! (proud mom! Can you tell!)

All by myself!

I was swapping out the laundry and brought a load out to the living room. Zachary was sitting there with nothing to do, so Travis and I showed him how to fold dish towels. He went straight to work and folded a whole pile. The he moved onto pant and shirts. Next thing I know he had folded a whole load!!! After each successful load he cheered for himself and was so excited. Here he is with all his folded laundry!

rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

("look at all those R! by Zachary!) Zachary felt he needed to add a little something to his post!

Eggs and Egg Hunts

On Saturday (3rd) the rehabilitation home just up the street from us did an Easter Egg hunt. So I decided to take the kids, (Travis was good and stayed home to watch Conference!) Anyway, it wasn't much of a hunt. It was more like they threw eggs on the grass and said ready set go! But the the kids still had fun. It took all of 10 minutes and we were home!!

Before the "hunt"

During the "hunt"

After the "hunt"

The loot. Madison "found" 23 eggs and Zachary "found" 10!
They had fun so that's all that matters!

Easter!!

At the beginning of spring break, Grandma and Grandpa McDowell sent the kids an Easter package. Zachary received a wood put together tractor, that needed lots of help from dad. And Madison got a t- shirt with iron on decals, which needed the help of mom!

He painted it all by himself!

Papi and Grammie Karen also sent us a box- o- fun! The kids waited all day for the UPS man and he finally came at 3pm!
