Easter!!

At the beginning of spring break, Grandma and Grandpa McDowell sent the kids an Easter package. Zachary received a wood put together tractor, that needed lots of help from dad. And Madison got a t- shirt with iron on decals, which needed the help of mom!

He painted it all by himself!

Papi and Grammie Karen also sent us a box- o- fun! The kids waited all day for the UPS man and he finally came at 3pm!

Soccer and New Easter Clothes!

Well this weeks soccer game was better. It was warmer and Madison actually managed to kick the ball during the game!! What a concept, we know! Anyway the team they played was stacked with amazon 5/6 year olds. These girls were big and one even pushed Madison to get the ball which really upset her. They don't keep score...............but you know that the parents do! We lost 10-2. But Madison was excited to kick and almost score!




This is Zachary relaxing mid game! He stated that he was too tired from playing soccer!! Silly!


Since General Conference falls on Easter weekend this year the kids won't be able to wear their new Easter clothes to Church. So they got all decked out this last weekend. This is Zachary's first tie and white shirt. He loves to look like daddy so he was really excited to wear a shirt and tie! He also got new shoes and a belt. I found Madison's dress at Costco for super cheap!!! Only one other girl had the same dress and it was her good friend Sammie B. They are excited for the Easter Bunny to visit and go on a real egg hunt!

DWTS!

Well, one of my favorite shows started again this week! Dancing with the Stars!! So naturally the kids like it. They had asked me when the dancing show was on, and I was excited to tell them that it would be Monday night!! Madison went to her room and got a dress on and Zachary put on a cape! Here are the results!

I have a horse for a daughter!

So we have signed Madison up for soccer. I thought I would never do it but it really is the only thing for spazy 5 year olds! She is on the purple team, with 5 other girls. They play 3 on 3 with no goalie. She has a practice every week and a game on Saturday mornings.

First off it was freezing!! We were all little ice cubes! Shannon, Devin and Ryleigh came to watch her first game. Ryleigh was in a snow suit, and Zachary was crying because his hands were cold!


Madison was the only one in shorts. That one girl has a parka on!! Madison had the black shorts and gray sweatshirt on!


During one practice Travis told her to run faster and get the ball. Well, she stated that she can't run that fast. So she went back out there and Travis noticed that she doesn't run.......................she gallops like a horse! That's why in the videos she is at the back of the pack.

Stobe light or Toothbrush?

So, this past weekend Madison had strep and the doctor told her that she needed to get rid of her toothbrush and get a new one. While we were waiting for the Rx to be filled she found these toothbrushes that blink for 1 min so they know how long to brush. Every night since they brush with the light off!!

Somewhat Random

This week at school was Dr. Seuss week and each day the kids celebrated by wearing something different. Monday was bright colors, Tuesday was crazy hat day, Wednesday was crazy sock day and today (TH) was khaki or camo day? She hates her khaki pants, and Zachary wasn't about to let her wear his camo shirt. So I made her a new bow with pink camo ribbon. Anyway my best friend Veronique let Madison borrow these cute rainbow leg warmers! She said she looked like Rainbow Bright! She also said that she had a good day because everyone at school loved them!!


Zachary was bored the other day and wanted to take some pictures. I thought he was smiling but instead he was making crazy faces!! Silly boy!

Madison at night!

Madison doesn't always fall asleep when she is supposed to. Sometimes she sneaks around her room and plays or colors, and 90% of the time we have no clue. She does confess in the morning of her nightly happenings! I can also tell in the morning before school of she went right to sleep or played for a while. Well this morning she was reluctant to get up or be productive.

Last night I went to check on her and this is what I found. She has carefully posed her bear on a horse, and lined up her other animals and covered them up. She is sleeping in between it all.

I love her hand sticking out! Her bed looked exactly the same this morning until Zachary destroyed it! She will not be too happy when she get's home!!
