My parents gave us an early Christmas present over Thanksgiving weekend! A new camera!!! It's awesome and I have been trying out some of the settings! We have been without a camera for so long so I apologize if I get a little blog crazy!!!
Well today marks the countdown until Christmas. We have two countdown calenders both made by two wonderful friends! It's a good thing we have two of them or there would have been tears this morning!
I got Madison out of bed this morning, by reminding her that it was Dec 1st and that she could start her calendar! I hope this makes Christmas come sooner for them, they already want to open presents!
Sorry for the bed head and pj's they had just gotten up and claim that the flash on the new camera is too bright so they close their eyes!
Madison left her fruit- loop bowl on the floor this morning, and Ryleigh had her eye on it. Ryleigh has started moving and she is quick!
She tried pretty hard to get to them, and tried to eat them but sucked her thumb instead! SHe eventually gave up and moved on to something else! (by the way Ryleigh is my niece in case you didn't know!)
We had a great Thanksgiving weekend! Had dinner with friends, my mom and Donn came for a viisit! We got an early Christmas present!! A CAMERA!!! So now our blog will be more exciting!!
Friday afternoon my mom and I set out to make Tamales! She brought everything with them and taught me how to make them! We also made enchiladas, rice and beans in the crock pot! It was quite the meal.
So this week Zachary noticed that on the calender there was a picture of a squirrel on Thanksgiving Day, and asked if that day was Squirrel Day? So I told him it was Thanksgiving Day and he said no it's not, it's Squirrel Day!
All week he has been asking if it is Squirrel Day yet. This morning he was excited to find out that tomorrow is Squirrel Day! We will still be eating Turkey no squirrel will be served!!! Have a fun Thanksgiving I mean Squirrel Day!!
So we were driving in the car yesterday afternoon on our way to Sonic for Happy Hour! And from the back seat I hear Madison singing. At first I didn't think anything of it, but then I listened a little closer and this is what I heard,
"I see a silhouetto of a man Scaramouch, Scaramouch, will you do the Fandango......"
I am not even joking! I almost died of laughter! I asked her where she had heard that, because it's not like we listen to a lot of Queen. And she proudly claimed that,"I heard it on The Singing Bee on CMT!" Hilarious!!!So of course I asked her so sing it again and she did.
So later that night Travis found the video on You Tube and she watched that part of the song twice. She woke up this morning adding,
"Thunderbolt and lightning, very, very frightening me (Galileo) Galileo (Galileo) Galileo, Galileo Figaro...." (with her own version of voice inflection!)
What am I going to do with her! Everyday she says or does something funny! What would we do without her!
Our friend Pyper willingly took some family pictures for us this past weekend. She did a great job even though she thought she didn't! The kids were well behaved, and it was beautiful weather! Overcast and cold!! So here are a few of what she took.
Well another school year has come to an end. And now I have a 5th grader and a 3rd grader! WOW! Time flies! Both kids had a pretty good year and learned a lot.
